Our Company Direction
Mark Cartwright, Managing Director of Stewart & Holland is well across the board for the range of services his company has on offer. Mark is a registered Electrician and Refrigeration Engineer, starting his electrical career in 1984. Following this, Mark then trained as a Refrigeration Engineer and has worked in this field for over 18 years.
Recently, Scott Mackenzie has purchased more shares in the company becoming a director of Stewart & Holland. Scott started his apprenticeship with Stewart & Holland in 2004, becoming qualified Refrigeration Engineer in 2008 and is now finishing his Electrical apprenticeship. He is very knowledgeable in dairy refrigeration division of the company. Scott has recently married Catherine and has settled in Mid Canterbury.
Mark oversees the day to day running, whilst also working onsite with the team or on technical issues. Mark is the first man you will see onsite with job outlines and discussions and will complete the quoting and tendering stages.
Stewart & Holland has been in operation for over 80 years, and in 2005 Mark and wife Jo purchased a shareholding in the company. Their passion for both the industry and community allowed Mark and Jo to pursue their dream and purchase the majority shareholding of Stewart & Holland in 2010.
Jo plays a significant role in the company's background, taking care of all administration tasks. Mark and Jo have three children that have allowed them to continually be active within the community, often sponsoring and helping local sports teams and groups.
Ashburton is a community they hold close to their heart, believing the tight knit community where they
have lived all their lives has a lot to offer. This close connection with the community has also allowed a strong focus in helping grow the labour market of qualified Electricians and Refrigeration Engineers by taking on apprentices and school leavers.
